Latics' young charges booked a place in the EFL Youth Alliance Cup final in style on Saturday morning, with a 3-0 thumping of Preston North End at Christopher Park.
A first half double from striker Mwiya Malumo set Nick Chadwick's side on their way, before Mitchell Culshaw's deflected effort was bundled home to see off the visitors.
It's been a bumper week for the Under 18s, with many featuring in the Central League Cup Semi-Final victory over Port Vale in midweek.
Malumo gave Latics the lead inside 23 minutes when he broke through the centre on the counter attack and rolled his effort into the left corner.
Joe Downey's effort teed up Malumo's second, with Preston goalkeeper Cottam parrying the initial shot, allowing the striker to tap home for 2-0.
With 25 minutes remaining Latics rounded off their win. Culshaw's shot through bodies was pushed into a body of Preston defenders by Cottam, before bobbling over the line amongst the chaos.
