LATICS XI FACE BURY TONIGHT

2 August 2012

Pre-season continues with a trip to Gigg Lane

After solid performances against the Evo-Stik Premier League's AFC Fylde and the Blue Square Bet Premier's Southport, Latics will be looking to step up their pre-season campaign against Npower League One outfit Bury FC.

A respectable 14th place finish was achieved last season for Richie Barker's men as they competed in the third tier of English football for the first time since 2002.

The history between the two sides at first team level is mixed, with 16 victories, 15 defeats and 13 draws and their last competitive fixture at Gigg Lane came back in 2001, which resulted in a 2-0 Latics victory.

Kick-off for tonight's game is at 7.30pm.

Kick off for that game is at 7.45pm at the AM Property Group Stadium, Ashton in Makerfield.
