Ideal Christmas gift goes behind the scenes on last season's survival

A new book is being released in time for Christmas which every Latics fan should not be without.

'Keeping the Faith - the inside story of an extraordinary season 2011/12' looks back at the incredible run of events that led to Wigan Athletic securing an eighth season in the Barclays Premier League following an unprecedented run of results towards the end of the campaign.

In the last nine games of the season victories over Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle United soared Latics out of the bottom three and all the way to the top of the league's form table to ensure survival.

This new 160-page publication goes behind the scenes at the club with exclusive interviews with the people who helped make it happen and those who looked on in astonishment at what was unfolding on the pitch.

Roberto Martinez relives that historic night against champions Manchester United at the DW Stadium, Gary Caldwell talks about his winning goal at Anfield, Chairman Dave Whelan speaks of his mixed emotions with the decisive win at Ewood Park in the penultimate game of the season and many more give in-depth exclusive interviews on each of the last nine games.

There is also the build-up to that pivotal point in the campaign, chronicling the first half of the season and lots of one-off interviews looking at the sub-plots to a truly memorable season.

THE BOOK IS ON SALE NOW and available from the Club Shop in the Grand Arcade Shopping Centre, Wigan priced at just £9.99........ The book is also available at the Club Shop at the DW Stadium (open match days) and online at
