The Wigan Athletic squad was spread across the borough yesterday to offer some Christmas cheer and give out some early Christmas gifts
It was a day of celebration for everyone at Hope School in Marus Bridge, Midstream in Skelmersdale, Willow Grove Primary School, the Rainbow Children's Ward at Wigan Infirmary and for those taking part in the Disability School Games at the Soccerdome with the help of the Community Trust.
At each visit the players gave out Christmas gifts, signed Latics merchandise and posed for pictures with some of their biggest admirers.
It was a proud day for the Club and something which was received with open arms from all those who met with the players and a big day for the children on Rainbow Ward who even got to meet Roberto Martinez himself.
"It was a fantastic day and one that was met with many smiling faces which was the first thing I noticed when I walked into the Rainbow Ward at Wigan Infirmary.
"The players had the same reaction in their visits across Wigan and it has been great to see some very important people in the Wigan Athletic family.
"Christmas is a very important time for everyone and what better way to celebrate this period than by spreading some Christmas cheer."
