Midfielder settling in fast and excited about future at Club

New signing Fraser Fyvie has told Latics Player how he hopes to emulate the success fellow Scottish team-mates have had at the Club since moving from north of the border.

The 19 year-old becomes the fifth Scottish player to join the first team and the sixth to have arrived from the SPL, a factor that helped him make the decision to sign for the Club he followed the progress of last season:

"I followed the team towards the end of last season," said Fyvie, "keeping an eye on the Scottish lads here and watching them do so well in keeping the club in the Premier League.

"Knowing there were players here from Scotland obviously played a big part in making the decision to join, I think there's five of us at the Club now, and hopefully I can follow in their footsteps, become an important member of the team and continue improving as a player.

"It's not just the Scottish lads though who have made me feel welcome, the whole squad have helped me settle in and my first training session with the group went really well.

"This is a new chapter for me and a great opportunity, I'm desperate to get started and hopefully prove to people I'm good enough for the Premier League.
