Maynor Figueroa says Latics can beat Reading but will not take them for granted.
“We know that Reading will come really motivated because of their win against Everton,” said the Honduran defender.
“Despite our defeat against Liverpool, we know we have a great squad and we are capable of beat any Premier League team.
“With them being new to the league we haven’t seen much about them but both teams are in the same situation; we've not played against them and they haven’t played against us either. “
With the current injury situation seeing five players sidelined, Figueroa thinks it can be a good time for other players to make an impact.
“We have a lot of players injured, but I also think that there are other players who have been waiting for their opportunity and we hope they help to maintain the level the team has been showing in the last few games.
“ We've always had good players in our squad, and now more than ever.
“I think that the philosophy is what is making us play such an attractive style of football and players like Arouna Kone and Ivan Ramis have strengthened the squad.
“Their performances have been remarkable and they increase the whole team’s confidence.”
