Argentinian striker hails team mates in first home win of the season.

“I’m really happy that we got our first home win of the season,” said Di Santo.

“We showed that we could break down a team that are very difficult to beat and it is a brilliant three points for the team.

“At home we play a different style to when we are away and it was only a matter of time before we got a result at home because the football we have played has been really good.

“It was very important to get the three points today and although I didn't score, I am very happy because we created some great chances and being involved in the build-up to a goal is just as important as scoring one.”

Ivan Ramis may have scored a contender for goal of the season yesterday but, it was the defensive performance of the back three that really had Di Santo impressed.

“West Ham are a very physical side and you know before a game that every player in their team is going to give you a tough battle.

“They are big players and credit has to go to our defenders today because they dealt with the size of Andy Carroll very well.

“The back three were amazing and they helped to get the three points just as much as the goals did.”
