Packed edition full of exclusives on sale tomorrow

Heading the match tomorrow? Then don’t forget to pick up your official matchday programme before Latics take on Everton in the Barclays Premier League.

In issue four we’ve got loads of exclusive interviews with players past and present, video messages and highlights you can watch on your mobile and all the regular features for just £3.00.

James McCarthy praises the support of Latics fans since the start the start of the season and how he and the rest of the team are desperate to repay their efforts this weekend in our Dressing Room piece.

Our feature piece, The Exclusive, is with Emmerson Boyce who gives his account of the season so far, learning new tricks under the Gaffer and looking forward to facing a familiar face come kick off at 3.00pm.

Former player and now coach at the Club’s Academy Joe Parkinson reflects on his time playing for both Wigan Athletic and Everton and how he’s thrilled to be back at the place where it all began for him.

Our history section, The Bigger Picture, focuses on the 1965/66 season with Jeff Rourke picking out the highlights from another of Frank Orrell’s fantastic pictures from that era. Harry Lyon, Allan Brown and a cup haul feature this week.

Elsewhere we have all the regular features including Neill Rimmer talking about his 15 minutes of fame as a ballboy at Goodison Park, Paul Rowley takes us back to the 1979/80 season when The Boomtown Rats and Latics’ famous Goodison Park victory in the FA Cup were in the news and The Wigan Observer’s very own Paul Kendrick sheds light on football’s big talking points.

As always we’ll have a round-up of the latest news from the Club’s Under 21 and Under 18 teams, as well as an update from the Community Trust, Chief Executive and a pre-match rallying call from Gary Caldwell.
