Park Life – Irish international midfielder talks to Nick Taylor in the build-up to tomorrow’s game

After his trip North to the Faroe Islands on Tuesday James McCarthy is now ready to head South with the Wigan Athletic squad as they travel to Swansea.

“It’s good to be back and I’m really looking forward to the game tomorrow.

“We’ll go there looking for all three points but obviously it is going to be a difficult game.

“Everyone was back today and we’ve had a good session, we’re ready for the game tomorrow.

“It’s sometimes hard to get back in the rhythm but, here it is made a lot easier because of the group of players we’ve got.”

Swansea are in the midst of a difficult run in the Barclays Premier League but, McCarthy has warned not to take recent results for granted.

“A game against Swansea is always going to be difficult much like every game in this league.

“We’ll go there and give it our best shot and we certainly won’t be going to the game taking it lightly because they have got great quality in their squad.

“We worked hard last time out and now we want to try and turn what was a great performance into a great result.

“If we can keep building up the points then we can kick on from that momentum.”
