Defender to remain at Griffin Park until end of season
Wigan Athletic defender Rob Kiernan has extended his loan spell at League One side Brentford until the end of the season.
The 22-year-old joined the Bees at the end of November for an initial spell that would take him up to the start of the New Year, before prolonging that move until the end of January, and now until May.
Kiernan has made seven appearances for Uwe Rosler’s side, who occupy fourth spot in the npower League One table, and one in their Johnstone’s Paint Trophy against Southend.
Back in September, the Republic of Ireland Under 21 international joined League Two side Burton Albion for a loan spell, making six league appearances for the Brewers.
