Denmark Diary – Day 8 Monday 29th July, 2013
From the back end of the day out at the theme park and the match on Saturday quite a few of us are feeling tired and drained.
This showed at the beginning of today’s training session when in a possession based drill there was a lack of tempo, movement, and concentration. This did improve a lot as the session went on and by the end of the session the standard was really good.
During the session the coaches’ spoke to us about how we can improve ourselves as players and as a team and how the simple things we do can make a big difference. We finished training with some set-pieces and a penalty shoot-out.
We had a good lunch and rest back at the hotel before training at Odense Boldklub’s training ground in the afternoon. It was another high tempo session and the high standards remained which was good. The squad has a good attitude to work and listens to all of the staff.
After our evening meal we had an evening of down-time after two intense sessions in the warm weather. All of the players were tired and needed a good rest.
