Latics face their second of three pre-season games in a week at the Globe Arena. It's a visit to a new ground for Wigan Athletic tonight as they take on Sky Bet League Two side Morecambe at the Globe Arena at 7.45pm.
The Shrimps will be Latics' fifth opponents so far in the build-up to the new Sky Bet Championship season and so far Owen Coyle's men have a 100% record, with three victories in the USA over Columbus Crew, Dayton Dutch Lions and Pittsburgh Riverhounds and Monday night's win at Leigh Sports Village against Greek Super League side Atromitos.
Following tonight's game Latics will round off their pre-season fixtures at home to Scottish Premier League side Dundee United on Saturday 27 July at 3pm.
Morecambe on the other hand face their final scheduled pre-season game this evening, having played three times previously with a victory over Burnley but defeats to Middlesbrough and Motherwell.
Latics are expected to field a strong side but will be once again without the long term injured defenders Gary Caldwell and Ivan Ramis.
The Shrimps are also without their key figure of Jack Redshaw, last season's top goal scorer, as he faces half of the season on the side lines following a hip operation.
Team news will be available approximately an hour before kick off.

MORE ON OUR OPPONENTS
Last season the Shrimps saw off any potential relegation threat in League Two by seven points as they finished 16th and part of the 2012/13 campaign involved Latics' very own Jordan Mustoe who enjoyed a loan spell at the Globe Arena in the early stages.
Manager Jim Bentley has been busy in the transfer market ahead of their 2013/14 season against Wycombe Wanderers, with five incomings; Mark Hughes and Marcus Marshall from Bury, Alex Kenyon from Stockport County, former Latics Centre of Excellence and Wigan born Jack Sampson from Bolton Wanderers and Tony Diagne from Macclesfield Town.
Latics have never met Morecambe in a professional competitive game but the two teams faced each other regularly during the 1960s and early 1970s as they did battle in the Lancashire Combination, with Latics coming out on top 17 times from 28 meetings.
Latics and the Shrimps met in 1999 as the dress rehearsal for the opening of the then JJB Stadium where they played out a 0-0 draw.
The most recent game was in early August 2005 in a friendly at Christie Park as Latics won 1-0 with Nathan Ellington on the score sheet and 15 years ago tomorrow, Latics beat Morecambe 6-1 also in a pre-season friendly.
FROM THE HISTORY BOOKS
Latics faced Morecambe three times in the build-up to the club's first ever appearance at Wembley Stadium in the FA Trophy final against Scarborough in 1973, after draws at Christie Park and Springfield Park forced a replay at Ewood Park in the fourth round which Latics won 1-0.
