MPS have paid tribute to Wigan Athletic for lifting the FA Cup.
The town's MP Lisa Nandy has tabled a Commons motion congratulating the club for what they say was an "historic victory" over Manchester City.
It thanks the people of Wigan for "getting behind their club and for always believing, despite the odds, that victory was possible".
The motion is also signed by the other MPs in the borough of Wigan, Andy Burnham from Leigh and Makerfield's Yvonne Fovargue.
In full the motion reads:
That this House congratulates Wigan Athletic for its historic victory in the FA Cup Final; notes the significant efforts of the team's players, the manager Roberto Martinez and the owner Dave Whelan in ensuring Wigan Athletic was triumphant; and thanks the people of Wigan for getting behind their club and for always believing, despite the odds, that victory was possible.
