Here are some of the messages we received to encourage the players ahead of the FA Cup final.

The following messages of support were received earlier this week as supporters showed their passion to get behind Wigan Athletic ahead of the FA Cup final against Manchester City tomorrow.

Kevin Burchall

"On Saturday I will be bursting with pride watching Dave Whelan lead your team out onto that hallowed turf in the final of the greatest club competition in the world. But I want you, your backroom staff, the players and everyone associated with the club to know that we, the fans, believe you can bring that trophy back to Wigan.

Roberto, you are our leader, we know the players give their all, but when they need that little bit extra to get over the line we will provide it. Tell the players to look up at the army of Latics fans and we will deliver a crescendo of support that will deafen the opposition.

We are Wigan Athletic, we have no fear."

Adrian Noriega

"I am a 16-year-old all the way from Mexico.  For me, I started watching Wigan Athletic because there was nothing on tv...but the more I saw of the team, the passion, the heart and the guts to win the more I became attached.

I keep the faith whenever other people tell me it's not possible. My friends have told me we can't win the FA Cup, but I told them we can, anything is possible with Wigan Athletic.

Money doesn't make a good team - integrity, concentration and a love for the team is what makes a great football team.

In that FA Cup final when I wake up early in the morning to see Wigan Athletic once more, I want to see the Wigan I fell in love with. The Wigan Athletic that plays beautiful football. I want to see us lift our biggest accomplishment yet."

David Hayes

"We, the fans, know that you will move heaven and earth to bring success and glory to our beloved Wigan Athletic. With every kick of the ball you take the power of every Latics fan is behind you, urging you ever onwards to victory. We give you our support, our voices, our hearts, our strength, our devotion, and most of all our love. You are the giants that walk amongst us. You are the heroes that spur us mere mortals on to better things. You are the footballing Gods upon whose shoulders we proudly sit. We salute the gladiators that you are ...SIN MIEDO"

Dave Graham

"Having watched Wigan now a long time through the leagues, it is with great pride that I watch my boyhood team step out onto the hallowed turf of Wembley, what a moment for us all. That is only half the moment. To see us lift the trophy would be the pinnacle.

We see how much you love the club and can see the passion on the pitch every game. We can do this and make a special day to remember no matter what the future holds.
Be proud of yourselves and know that we are mightily proud of you to."

"It's been an amazing FA Cup journey for everyone connected with the club. Let's win this competition and make history - now is the time to believe!"

Rob McKay

"Congratulations on reaching the FA Cup Final! Best of luck and here's hoping we can take the trophy back to Wigan!"

Mark Hemy

"Roberto Martinez you represent everything that is Wigan Athletic and provide us with a glowing reputation all over the world because of your very self. You've kept us in the Premier League for three seasons now, but that's nothing compared to what you do for the club and for the town as a whole. You are a true ambassador for Wigan Town.

People have praised us fans for believing in the team even in tough times. But it's not a hard task, the truth is that this squad and this club just make it so easy to believe in them.

Let's make it 9 years, an FA cup and European football lads. I know you can do it!"

Jonny Ellis

"The performances we've seen in this cup have been outstanding, no one will forget those three or so minutes where we went 3-0 up away at Everton. Then last month I saw Latics at new Wembley, another dream come true for me and a great day.

Yes, we are passionately proud of our achievement, but this dream can go further, we can win this cup! We BELIEVE we can win this. This team can make history."

Barry Worthington

"I can’t tell you how proud I am of the players and the club, to reach an FA Cup final is an amazing achievement, it is what I have dreamt of since being a little boy, you are writing the history of our club.

Go get ‘em and bring that cup home!"

Dave Jones

"Well done lads on reaching the FA Cup final for the first time in Wigan Athletic’s History. As fans we are all so excited and thrilled to be a part of the moment, and I am sure you are as well. I hope you will enjoy the moment, and that it will always be a highlight in your career. We will all be so proud for our club and I know you will give 100% and that we are well capable of creating even more history by beating Manchester City and winning the FA Cup.

Thanks and Good Luck"
