Sky Bet Championship
Monday 21 April 2014, kick off 3.00pm

Match Preview

Latics make the short Bank Holiday Monday trip to Turf Moor to take on Burnley who are on the brink of promotion to the Premier League while Latics need just four more points to guarantee themselves a spot in the end of season play offs.

It’s likely there will be a party atmosphere at Turmoor with Burnley fans having the champagne at the ready should they clinch the result they need, or games go accordingly elsewhere,  to secure promotion

Latics go into the game following what was arguably one of their best performances of the season against Reading on Friday, putting pay to any suggestions of any cup hangover.

Following the win over Reading, Uwe Rosler reported no further injuries.  That leaves just Ivan Ramis (hamstring), Chris McCann (knee) and Ben Watson (leg) sidelined.

This will be the 23rd competitive meeting between Latics and Burnley and Latics have only lost twice winning 12 times.  [Click here] to see our full head to head guide.
