Match Preview

The league leaders are the visitors to the DW Stadium this Tuesday night with both teams chasing all three points as the race for promotion to the Premier League hots up.  Leicester City are closing in on sealing promotion to the Premier League while Latics are looking to further cement a play-off position.

Leicester arrive in Wigan having opened up the gap between themselves and nearest challengers Burnley with a 2-0 win at Turfmoor on Saturday. Meanwhile Latics battled for a point at the Reebok Stadium, the lacklustre display could have reaped all three points however but for a 95th minute penalty save by Adam Bogdan.

Latics are without Jean Beausejour who serves the first of a two-match suspension for amassing ten yellow cards. Martyn Waghorn is ineligible as per the terms of his loan. Chris McCann and Ben Watson remain sidelined but everybody else is available for selection.

Leicester are waiting on striker Jamie Vardy who limped out of the win over Burnley with a groin injury.

Chris Wood may start in his place while Sean St Ledger and Tom Hopper are available after injury.
Defender Zoumana Bakayogo, who is out for the season after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament, is the visitors' only long-term absentee.

Head to Head
