Latics head into today's game against the Saddlers following back-to-back victories against Bolton Wanderers and Morecambe, with a thumping 4-0 win recorded last week against the Shrimps seeing Andy Delort scoring twice.

Seven first team squad members were used in total in last week's game at the training ground, with Rob Kiernan also on the score sheet, as Ben Watson, Emyr Huws, Oriol Riera, James Tavernier and Thomas Rogne featured.

Walsall arrive at Christopher Park with three straight victories, the most recent of which came last week 3-0 at home to Shrewsbury Town.

This morning Malky Mackay revealed a number of first team players will be involved in the Development Squad again, saying:

"Players who didn't play on Saturday will get a chance to play today.

"They need to keep playing football and we need everybody to be ready.

"I've told the players that if they impress me during the week then they'll be given a chance.  I've also said to the Development Squad lads and the Under 18s that if they consistently impress with performances, I'm not afraid of giving them a chance in the first team either."
