Live draw for Sky Bet Transfer Fund on December 16.

Wigan Athletic have made the final 10 of the Sky Bet Transfer Fund, with the winner of the £250,000 to be drawn live on Sky Sports News.

The winning club will be given £250,000 to spend on the transfer fee and/or wages of a player on the January transfer window.

Latics have been named in the final 10 thanks to supporter Matthew Peat who was drawn at random from around 70,000 customers during the campaign and Matthew himself could be in line to win £5,000 should his name be draw out.

The draw will take place at Wembley Stadium and broadcast live on Sky Sports News at midday on Tuesday 16 December.

On hearing the news, Chief Executive Jonathan Jackson said:

"This is an exciting and innovative promotion from Sky Bet and the Football League and we are delighted to have been chosen in the final ten. We must thank Latics fan Matthew Peat who participated in the promotion and now we have a chance of winning £250,000 on Tuesday to spend specifically in the transfer market.

"It was good to hear the news and with the draw being made at Wembley Stadium next week, it would be nice to think that we have another reason to celebrate Wigan Athletic at Wembley.”

Christopher Goodwin (Cardiff City)
Brenda Wall (Leeds United)
