Further to the Latics Tracks feature the Club have developed this season to highlight the Northern Soul history of Wigan, we are delighted to reveal details for our special supporters event prior to the Norwich City fixture on 6 December.
'Northern Soul Day' marks the 33-year anniversary of the closing of the world famous Wigan Casino, which shut its doors on December 6 1981.
The Players Car Park in the South East corner of the DW Stadium will play host to a fantastic event including a stage for supporters to relive the moves from back in the day, local soul DJ Dickie Ashcroft spinning the decks, an outdoor bar with lager, cider and bitter at £2.90 a pint and soft drinks and the chance to buy superb home made Lancashire Hotpot.
A photobooth with a range of Northern Soul/Latics backgrounds will also be situated in the Players' Car Park, with a chance for you to get some souvenirs from the day courtesy of Piranha Photobooth Hire.
The event is completely free of charge, but with a limit of 500 attendees at any one time so we advise early arrival. Gates open from midday and the event will close at kick off at 3.00pm.
Buy your match tickets now by telephone, at the ticket office or on wiganathletic.com/tickets and don't miss out on this great event prior to kick off.
