Wigan Athletic's Under 18s almost provided an upset against high flying Blackpool at Christopher Park this morning, but Joey Johnson's goal to make it 2-1 in the second half wasn't enough as Blackpool substitute Dom Telford scored deep into injury time.

The visitors took the lead inside the first minute through Kieran Shaw, dominating the opening half an hour, before Latics battled their way back to equalise on 68 minutes, with Johnson then putting Latics in front with 15 minutes to go.

Telford's heart-breaking late goal means back-to-back draws for Latics, but the side continue to improve following four straight defeats previous.
