Uwe Rosler calls on Wigan Athletic supporters to cheer on the team against Yeovil.

Uwe Rosler has urged the supporters to come and make ‘a crucial difference’ in tomorrow night’s big Sky Bet Championship game at home to Yeovil Town.

With the side looking to make it a magnificent seventh victory in a row, Rosler wants the same positivity from his players – but also from the stands.

"Our fans have been fantastic,” he says, “travelling up and down the country but also turning out in their numbers at home – and they have a crucial role to play tomorrow again. They can make the difference.

"We saw it against Sheffield Wednesday last week, and we saw it against Charlton last month.

"The players have a duty to get the crowd going by pressing high and creating chances, but in football, sometimes you have to be patient, there are times when you have to be patient.

"It is the supporters’ role to lift the players by creating the atmosphere when that situation occurs, as they did against Wednesday and Charlton, where we needed them all the way to the very end.

"Yeovil are a good team, make no mistake. They are battling for their lives and they will be up for this one.

"They have a collective unity and team spirit that will keep them fighting for each other and it is up to us to be positive from the first whistle.”

And Rosler says this is a game where we need everyone pulling together.

"We have created an incredible opportunity for ourselves with all our hard work over the past few weeks, and we need the fans behind us again tomorrow, in their numbers and creating the atmosphere. We are relying on you.”
