We look back through Jason Roberts' Wigan Athletic career after he announces retirement.

Jason Roberts announced his retirement from professional football earlier today after 17 years in the game, two and a half of which were successfully spent at Wigan Athletic.

In the above gallery we take a look through some of his incredible moments; signing for the club, scoring seconds into his debut against Preston North End, scoring Latics' first Premier League goal and of course who could forget that night at Highbury in the League Cup?

Roberts played 103 times for Latics in all competitions, scoring 43 goals along the way and striking up successful partnership with Nathan Ellington and Henri Camara.

We would like to Jason for his contribution to our history and wish him the very best in the future.
