Latics go in search of their second trophy of the season in the FTDL Cup final against Mansfield Town. Peter Atherton's side have already wrapped up the West Division title of the FTDL and are looking to make it a double, with another final in the Lancashire Senior FA Cup still to be scheduled.

Heading into the game, Latics have lost just twice in their last eight, winning six and scoring 13 times, picking up five clean sheets along the way.

Opponents Mansfield are also in relatively good form, having lost two of their last nine matches, however both were heavy defeats, 5-0 to Rotherham United and 3-0 against Scunthorpe United.

How they got here

Latics ran out winners of FTDL Cup Group C, collecting nine points from a possible 12, with victories over Carlisle United, Tranmere Rovers and Morecambe.

A semi-final clash at Robin Park saw Latics 2-0 winners against Hartlepool United, with Mansfield also impressing in their semi-final with a 3-2 victory over Leicester City.

The Stags were winners of their group, collecting maximum points from the 12 available.
