James McArthur completes move to Crystal Palace.

Wigan Athletic can confirm that midfielder James McArthur has completed a move to Barclays Premier League side Crystal Palace, for an undisclosed fee.

McArthur moves to Selhurst Park having joined Latics in 2010 from Hamilton Academical.

Manager Uwe Rosler said:

"James is a fantastic professional, we wanted to keep him but the offer was a very good one and we have made a decision which we feel is correct for the long-term benefit of the club.

"We wish him all the best."

The 26-year-old Scottish international played a total of 155 games for Latics, scoring 12 goals. He won an FA Cup Winners Medal after the 2013 FA Cup final victory over Manchester City, he also played in five of Latics’ six UEFA Europa League matches last season, captaining the side that faced Rubin Kazan in Russia, the first of several occasions he wore the armband.

The club would like to go on record to thank James for his contribution during his time at the DW Stadium.
