Mike Pollitt contributes to book aimed at educating prospective footballer's.

It's fair to say Wigan Athletic Goalkeeping Coach Mike Pollitt has a wealth of professional football experience, and now he's helping to pass on that information, contributing towards a new book by Dean Caslake and former defender Guy Branston called 'The Footballer's Journey' - Real World Advice on Becoming and Remaining a Professional Footballer.

The book has been backed by the Professional Footballers' Association and gives an insight to prospective footballers from current and past professionals such as Craig Mackail-Smith, Chris Smalling, Ben Amos and Steve Claridge, to name only a few.

Co-author Dean Caslake, who plays for Frome Collegians, says the book is 'packed with advice that can educate football hopefuls and their parents.'

In the book, Pollitt recalls; stepping onto the football ladder, the sacrifices made at a young age, proving doubters wrong, what makes him love football and much more.
