The NeuroMuscular Centre – The Centre of Excellence for People with Muscular Dystrophy.

Joining us on Saturday at the DW Stadium for the Sky Bet Championship fixture with Wolverhampton Wanderers will be a very special charity.

The NeuroMuscular Centre (NMC) is an organisation based in Winsford who provide a range of services and support to people with muscular dystrophy, a severe and progressive muscle wasting condition for which there is no known cure.

It’s the only centre of its kind in the whole of the UK and its main aim is to improve the quality of life for adults and young people with the condition.

Services include physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, advice and support, carers breaks and vocational training qualifications in Graphic and Web Design, which can also lead to supported employment opportunities within the award winning Social Enterprise NMC Design+Print.

The NMC is used by hundreds of families across the North West and relies almost entirely upon public donations and various fundraising events throughout the year to try to make the £875,000 needed per year to keep the Centre running. For further details, please visit, and
