Football League Youth Alliance

With just three league games remaining after tonight's trip to second place side Bury, Latics head to the JD Stadium third in the Football League Youth Alliance on 55 points from 26 matches.

Bury themselves sit second on 59 from 27 matches, with Rochdale (who Latics still have to play) top of the pile on 60 from 27 matches.

Bury were held to a 0-0 draw with Burnley at the weekend, and Rochdale recorded a 3-3 draw against Oldham Athletic, giving Latics the chance to close the gap at the top, extending their unbeaten league run to 20 games since 20 September 2014 with a 2-0 victory away to Port Vale.

Last starting XI v Port Vale: Evans, Baxendale, Lambert, Gregory, Harrison, McNally, Lang (Bannister 73), Purzycki, Barrigan (Randell 82), Robles (Sang 84), Lingard
