- Sean Murray joins Wigan Athletic on loan from Watford.
- Republic of Ireland Under 21 midfielder Sean Murray joins from Watford.
- “He’s here for a month initially and then we’ll reassess the situation,” says Gary Caldwell.
Following injuries to Tim Chow and Don Cowie, Caldwell has acted quickly to fill the temporary gap in the centre of midfield by bringing Murray on board and he said he was pleased with the signing.
“Sean’s here for a month initially, then we’ll reassess the situation, as with all the loan signings. He is someone we know all about from our scouting system, has good first team experience for his age and will add good competition to the squad.”
Murray came through the ranks at the Watford Academy and made his first team debut at the age of 18, going on to play 85 times for the Hornets in all competitions, as well as 11 caps for Republic of Ireland's U21s.
