Wigan Athletic Community Trust Disability Football Under 18s looking for new players.
Wigan Athletic Community Trust’s three Disability Football teams, who play in the Greater Manchester Ability Counts Football League, have had a great start to their 2015-16 season, with the Under 18s currently 2nd in their league – and the team are looking for new players to join them this season!
The Ability Counts league and training sessions provide opportunities for teenagers and adults with disabilities to represent their club playing football against teams from around the North West.
Over forty players with disabilities have joined in with Wigan Athletic’s Disability Football sessions this year, training with the Community Trust coaches and representing Latics in the league matches every month.
Anyone with a disability can play in the league and the Under 18s team especially are looking for new players to join for the rest of the 2015-16 season.
Training sessions run at the following times and locations:
Under 18s – Wigan Youth Zone, Parsons Walk, Wigan, WN1 1RU - Wednesday’s 7.00pm – 8.00pm
Open Age – Central Park, Montrose Avenue, Wigan, WN5 9XL - Friday’s 6.00pm – 7.00pm
Both sessions will resume in the New Year from the week commencing 4th January 2016.
