  • Love has made five appearances in a Latics shirt.
Wigan Athletic can confirm that Scotland Under 21 international defender Donald Love has extended his loan deal from Manchester United until 7 January 2016.

The full-back, who turned 21 last week, is back in training after missing out for a month with a slight quad strain, and will be hoping to earn his place back after breaking into Gary Caldwell’s side prior to his injury.

Caldwell said:

“Donald was unlucky because he had been doing well prior to getting injured and he adds great competition on the right hand side. He’s a young player who’s still learning the game and his attitude has been terrific since being with the group.”

Love made his professional debut coming on as a substitute against Walsall in October and has so far played five times for the club, four times in the league.
