FA Youth Cup Third Round
Wigan Athletic v Stevenage
Thursday 17 December 2015, kick off 7.00pm
at Robin Park Arena

Latics' Under 18s look to continue their FA Youth Cup run on Thursday night when they host Stevenage for a 7.00pm kick off in the third round at Robin Park Arena.

The two teams arrive for the third round in contrasting form, with Latics unbeaten since late September, whilst the visitors haven't won in 90 minutes since a 4-1 victory over MK Dons on 7 November.

Latics' 2-0 victory over Walsall on Saturday saw Chris Sang continue his recent goal scoring run, whilst James Barrigan returned from injury to seal the result late on, making it 12 games unbeaten, with six consecutive clean sheets.

The winner of Thursday's fixture will go through to the fourth round to face either Derby County or West Ham United.

Admission at Robin Park is £5.00 for adults and £3.00 for concessions.

The best way to catch the action is in person,, but we'll also be providing live updates on Latics Wall and our official Twitter account @LaticsOfficial.

Round 1 (Latics) - It was back and forth in the opening round for Latics, with Will Ryder's side eventually running out 4-2 winners against York City at Robin Park.  Barrigan gave Latics an early lead, only for the visitors to equalise inside 20 minutes.  Captain Luke Burke restored the advantage on the hour mark, but yet again York pulled level, just 10 minutes later.  Latics eventually eased themselves away form their opponents, with Chris Sang claiming a brace inside the final 15 minutes.

Round 1 (Stevenage) - Robbie O'Keefe's side made light work of their opening fixture with a 3-0 victory away at non-league Aveley in early November, despite going down to ten men when Louis Yamfam was sent off.  Michael Creagan netted a brace before Nathan Kerr added Boro's third to seal a second round tie at Cambridge United.

Round 2 (Latics) - Hard work and endeavour paid off for Latics in more ways than one.  An all round solid team performance against a physical Lincoln City side was rewarded in the second half, when the foresight to close down the keeper from Callum Lang gifted him and Latics the winning goal, a clearance striking him on the back and finding its way into the net from outside the penalty area.

Round 2 (Stevenage) - 120 minutes passed without a goal in their away fixture at Cambridge, but the young Boro side found then net when it mattered most, winning 4-2 on penalties.
