Emmerson Boyce takes time to meet local sponsors at their shop in Platt Bridge.

Wigan Athletic team sheet sponsors Pooles Domestics received a visit from Emmerson Boyce last week at their base in Platt Bridge, Wigan.

Pooles Domestics are a Euronics accredited company, who supply top quality named appliances and are number one in the North West for services and repairs.  The company have been established since 1968, and last season became official team sheet and team news sponsor for the club.

Partner in the company and long-time Latics supporter Gary Walker was on hand to meet Boyce as he arrived at the shop, showing him around to meet staff and customers.

On meeting Gary, his staff and the local people, the 35-year-old defender commented:

"It's important to come and see local businesses who support us, and in a environment like the shop Gary manages it's also nice to meet local people and listen to their views and opinions.

On hand with Boyce was Sponsorship Manager and former Latics midfielder Neill Rimmer, who has worked closely with all of the local businesses that support the club.

Rimmer reiterated:

"The local support from businesses like Pooles Domestics is crucial to the club.  Being supporters of the club means a lot to the company and Emmerson going out to meet them was a good way to bring the two closer together."
