Take a closer look at Sanmi Odelusi’s career so far.

1. Sanmi Odelusi was born on 11 June 1993, sharing his birthday with former Latics midfielder and now coach Joe Parkinson (1971).

2. Odelusi spent time in the academies of Queens Park Rangers and Reading, before joining Bolton Wanderers as a 16-year-old in 2009.

3. The winger signed his first professional contract at the end of the 2011/12 season after scoring four goals in 16 appearances for Bolton’s Development Squad.

4. Odelusi made his professional debut as a late substitute in a 3-2 defeat away to Charlton Athletic in March 2013.

5. He scored twice on his first start for Bolton on 6 August 2013, grabbing the goals in a 3-1 away victory against Shrewsbury Town in the Capital One Cup.

6. After six substitute appearances and two Capital One Cup starts in the 2013/14 season, Odelusi joined MK Dons on loan, playing 10 times between February and April.

7. In December 2014 Odelusi played and scored against Latics in the Under 21 Premier League Cup at the Lancashire FA, with Bolton winning the tie on penalties after a 4-4 draw.

8. January 2015 saw Odelusi sign on loan for Coventry City.  He scored on his debut in a 2-2 draw at home to Rochdale on 31 January.

9. His goal scoring was impressive during his first five appearances for the Sky Blues, with a tally of three.

10. Overall in the 2014/15 campaign, Odelusi made four starts for Coventry and 10 substitute appearances.
