Teams from two Latics Kicks areas go head to head.

Teams from Hag Fold and Leigh Latics Kicks sessions played in a friendly football match last week, as a way of bringing youngsters from the two nearby communities together.

Organised by Jon Green, a Schools and Inclusion Coach at Wigan Athletic Community Trust, the game finished 14-1 to Hag Fold, although the overall result of the game was bringing the two communities together in a positive environment.

Tom Drake, Latics Kicks Co-Ordinator, said: “I would like to say a big well done to all involved in last Monday’s Hag Fold v Leigh Kicks game.

“It was really good to see two areas come together competing, even if the score line says differently. Feedback from all of the players was very positive, so well done to all involved.”

Latics Kicks provides football coaching to hundreds of youngsters around Wigan every week in partnership with the Premier League, Sport England and Wigan and Leigh Homes.
