- Max Power to join Wigan Athletic from Tranmere Rovers.
- Midfielder joins Latics at the end of his contract with Prenton Park club.
- The fee for the 21-year-old to be set by FA Tribunal.
Former Tranmere Rovers’ midfielder Max Power has signed for Wigan Athletic following the expiry of his contract with the Prenton Park club.
Although Power is out of contract, Tranmere Rovers retain a right to compensation as he is under the age of 24 and so the fee for the 21-year-old will be decided by a FA tribunal after the two clubs were unable to agree terms.
The midfielder has put pen to paper on a three-year contract at the DW Stadium and Latics manager Gary Caldwell said: “We are very happy to have Max on board with us. He has played at this level during his time with Tranmere but is still young and will learn a lot from the experienced players in the squad. We are looking forward to seeing him develop in Wigan Athletic colours.
