Latics face final pre-season friendly with short trip to Ewood Park.

  • Latics face Blackburn Rovers in final pre-season fixture on Saturday 1st August.
  • Kick-off at 3pm in Lancashire.
  • Tickets are priced at £10 for adults, £5 for Over 65s and young adults (18-21) whilst U17s admission is just £1.
Wigan Athletic travel to Sky Bet Championship side Blackburn Rovers on Saturday 1 August at 3.00pm as they complete their pre-season schedule a week before their Sky Bet League One opener at Coventry City.

Latics have defeated Southport, drawn with Altrincham and Partick Thistle and lost at Dundee in their four pre-season games to date and they’ll be looking to finish off in style at Ewood Park.

Michael Jacobs is in line to make his first Wigan Athletic appearance as Gary Caldwell takes his side to Ewood Park to face Blackburn Rovers in their final pre-season game.

Reece James, Jonjoe Kenny, Francisco Junior and Craig Davies will all look to get game time in England after making their first appearances for the club north of the border in last week’s Scotland tour.

Currently under a transfer embargo, Blackburn are restructuring their squad after the sales of Tom Cairney (Fulham) and Joshua King (Bournemouth) and the contract expiries of Paul Robinson, David Dunn, Luke Varney and Yann Songo’o.

Rovers have added midfielders Sacha Petshi (Bastia) and Bengali-Fode Koita (SM Caen) to their ranks whilst it’s reported former Fulham and Reading midfielder Danny Guthrie has been on trial with the club as well as former Latic Kim Bo-kyung who is awaiting a work permit.
