Wigan Athletic Community Trust are delighted to release their 2015 Impact Report, which highlights the work carried out by the charity between January and December 2014.

Last year through the support of partners, funders and supporters, the Trust was able to work with an incredible 10,166 people on activities based around football and sport, health, education and community cohesion.

The Impact Report tells the stories of just some of the individuals the charity has made a real difference to.

Phillip Williams, Chairman of the Trustees of Wigan Athletic Community Trust, said: “Throughout the year, the quality and value of Wigan Athletic Community Trust’s work continued to be of the highest standard for so many people across Wigan.

“On behalf of all of the Trustees, I would like to express our pride in the Community Trust’s work and to congratulate each and every member of staff at the Trust for their brilliant effort and achievements.”

Following the Trust’s success across all of their programmes, they were named as last year’s North West Football Award’s Community Club of the Year.

Jonathan Jackson, Chief Executive of Wigan Athletic and Trustee of Wigan Athletic Community Trust, said: “Everyone at the football club was delighted to be awarded Community Club of the Year at the 2014 North West Football Awards and it was a fitting reward for the dedication of our hard working and enthusiastic team of coaches, who continue to inspire the thousands of participants who benefit from and enjoy our work.

“We know that you will be impressed by the breadth and volume of our activities that you will read about in this annual report. Well done to Tom Flower and all of the staff and coaches for their hard work and tireless dedication to enriching lives.”
