The club can confirm that the deal to take Spanish striker Oriol Riera to Deportivo La Coruna has now been officially completed, for an undisclosed fee.
Riera, who signed from Osasuna in the summer of 2014, spent the second half of last season on loan with the Spanish La Liga side and will now move there permanently after Deportivo met the club’s valuation of the player, who expressed his desire to remain in his homeland.
The former Osasuna frontman scored one goal in a Latics shirt, at home to Blackpool in August 2014.
