Club to donate two full match-worn playing kit to amateur teams.

  • Home and away Wigan Athletic strip to be donated.
  • Winners to have team photos at the DW Stadium.
  • Match worn strips as worn by Latics’ players.
Two lucky amateur teams will each receive a match-worn playing strip over the coming weeks.

The strips, one blue and white stripes with shorts and blue and white socks, the other with yellow shirts, blue shorts, yellow socks, were worn principally by the Wigan Athletic Development Squad, and consist of at least 15 outfield strips, plus a full goalkeeper’s strip consisting of a mixture of adult sizes.

Two local teams will receive the strips, as well as having the opportunity to pose for their team photo at the DW Stadium.

Simply write to us by 5.00pm on Friday 19 June at and IN NO MORE THAN 100 WORDS, tell us why your teams deserves one of the kits.

Make sure you provide a full name, address and contact details, plus the name of the team and league you play in.

We want your stories, and the most eye catching will win the prize: Are you struggling for funds? Have you won your league for five seasons in succession? Do you have a team filled with Latics season card holders? Did your team end up bottom of your league by 30 points and you just need cheering up? Whatever your story, write to us now and you will be in with a chance of winning.


*The kits are to be given as seen. Although they have been match-worn, they are in excellent condition, fully numbered, and laundered ready for use. The club cannot be held responsible for any minor defects.

*The club will publish details of the winners at a date to be confirmed following the closing deadline for entries.

*Winners to collect kits from the stadium. Should the winners come from out of the area, the club will not be responsible for postage and packing.
