Final Third Development League West

PREVIEW

Latics head into their final game of the season top of the Final Third Development League West knowing that a victory would see them seal the title for the second consecutive season, after Port Vale lost 5-1 in one of their games in hand yesterday away to Morecambe.

The top of the table has Latics on 25 points from 11 games, with the Valiants in second on 21 points from 10 games.  Latics crucially beat Port Vale 2-1 last week at Robin Park Arena, thanks to goals from Jordan Flores and Tim Chow.

Latics arrive at Walsall having won four in a row in the league, and will be hoping for a repeat of the reverse fixture at Christopher Park in December, which saw Latics edge past the Saddlers 1-0.
