Latics are back in action on Tuesday as they continue the battle to retain their Final Third Development League West title, with a visit of fourth place Shrewsbury Town to Christopher Park in waiting.
It's tight at the top, but Latics have kept their place at the summit thanks to back-to-back away wins over Tranmere Rovers and Morecambe. Port Vale are the chasers, just one point behind Latics on 18 points, but the Valiants have two games in hand.
Visitors Shrewsbury currently sit fourth in the FTDL West and have won three of their last four games in all competitions, including a 4-0 triumph over Latics in the reverse fixture as Shrewsbury Sports Village.
LAST TIME OUT
Latics were comfortable winners at Morecambe's Globe Arena, with Ryan Jennings on target twice to seal a 2-0 victory.
