It's a repeat of the 2014 Lancashire FA Senior Cup final on Tuesday afternoon at Robin Park Arena, as Latics host holders Bury in this year's semi-final.
Back in August, following a 1-1 draw over 120 minutes, the Shakers triumphed 4-2 in a penalty shootout at the LFA Headquarters in Leyland, leaving Latics on the lookout for revenge this time around.
Latics reached the semi-final thanks to a narrow 1-0 victory against local rivals Bolton Wanderers, with Jordan Flores on target 20 minutes from time back in November.
Both Joe Parkinson's side and Bury had byes through to the previous round, with the Shakers then going on to win their quarter final fixture 2-0 away to Southport.
Arriving on the back of a 3-0 defeat in their last Final Third Development League West game of the season, Latics will be looking to turn their fortunes around quickly, having previously won four games in a row.
There will also be a keen eye on the FTDL West during the afternoon, as title chasing Port Vale face Walsall in a game which would seal the division for Latics if the Saddlers were to claim a victory.
