Gigg Lane to host annual remembrance ceremony.

On Saturday 7 November, Bury and Wigan Athletic will join together on Remembrance Weekend, with a ceremony being held ahead of kick off.

The two teams will form around the centre circle ahead of kick off, with standard bearers from the Royal British Legion, accompanied by two buglers from the 2nd Battalion Royal Regiment of Fusiliers positioned on the half way line.

A minute's silence will be held, the last post will be played by the buglers as the standard bearers dip their colours in honour of those that have fallen in conflict.  The last note of the last post will signify the reading of the Exhortation by Bury's chaplain David Ottley.

Once the minute's silence is complete, the buglers will play the reveille.  This will be followed by the reading of the Kohima Epitaph, signalling the order for the standard bearers to carry on and march off.

Please arrive to your seat in good time ahead of kick off on Saturday and join us in paying our respects.

Lest We Forget.
