Latics return to competitive Development Squad action for the first time in almost a month today, as they travel to FTDL West leaders Wrexham for the second time this season, following a 4-3 FTDL Cup victory in early October.
Wrexham sit top of the division on six points having played four games, whilst Latics occupy fourth place with four points, having played just twice.
Peter Atherton's side kicked off the season with a 2-2 draw away at Port Vale, before a thumping 4-0 victory over Shrewsbury Town at Robin Park Arena in their last outing.
In all competitions, Latics have won three, drawn one and lost two of their six fixtures so far this season, with Louis Robles leading the goal scoring chart with six, followed by Danny O'Brien on three.
