The best festive ideas will be rewarded with a visit from Latics players this Christmas!

  • Christmas visits to local schools by Latics players are up for grabs.
  • Wigan schools asked to come up with novel Latics-style festive ideas.
  • Official club charity Wigan Athletic Community Trust to work with schools chosen.
Make your school’s Christmas extra special this year, with a festive visit from a Wigan Athletic player!

The club are asking schools in the Wigan area to come up with the most novel ideas to celebrate a blue Christmas with us…

You could…

-Adapt a famous Christmas carol with new Latics-related lyrics?
-Come up with a new Latics Christmas carol and get the players to sing it with you?
-Decorate your school Christmas tree, Latics-style?
-Invite the players to be in your nativity play?
-Get the players to serve up your Christmas lunch?
-Bake some special blue cakes and have the players taste them?
-Or come up with your own great idea!

The club want to spread some extra Christmas cheer this year and are looking for the most interesting ways to celebrate Yuletide with local children.

The schools chosen will not only get the players to visit them but will get to work alongside the Wigan Athletic Community Trust.

To apply, simply send your name, school and idea, along with your contact details, to, the best ideas will then be selected and the winning schools contacted.

Please be aware that the closing date for applications is Friday 20th November 2015 and dates are subject to player availability.

The offer is open to all schools in the Wigan area, either in the actual borough or just outside in the neighbouring boroughs of Bolton, Chorley and West Lancashire.
