PREVIEW

Latics' Under 18s are back in action at Robin Park this weekend, facing their second cup game of the week as they host Notts County in the Football League Youth Alliance Cup third round.

Will Ryder's side come fresh off the back of a 4-2 victory in the prestigious FA Youth Cup on Tuesday afternoon against York City, and have now won five of their last six fixtures in all competitions, including a 2-0 away win at Morecambe last weekend.

Notts County also arrive at Robin Park in a fine run of form, having won all six of their last six fixtures.

The young Magpies were also in FA Youth Cup action in midweek, winning 2-0 away to Northampton Town, this coming after a 6-0 victory against Bradford City in the North East Youth Alliance last weekend.

YOUTH ALLIANCE CUP SO FAR

Latics have seen off Tranmere Rovers and Burton Albion to progress to the third round, winning 3-1 away on the Wirral, before a 1-0 home win against the Brewers.

Notts County also progressed through the last round by a single, beating Oldham Athletic 1-0 at home, following a previous 1-0 win away to York City.
