Latics will be backed by another 1,000-plus following in Saturday’s battle of the Latics.
- Wigan Athletic fans can pay on the day at Oldham’s SportsDirect.com Park.
- Latics will take over a thousand fans for the fourth time this season.
- Wigan Latics face Oldham Latics in Sky Bet League One on Saturday 26 September.
- Average away attendance this season higher than Championship and Premier League.
Current sales in the Zen Office Chadderton Road Stand have reached the 1,000 mark with still two and a half days of pre-sales to go and supporters are reminded they WILL be able to pay on the day after Oldham reversed their initial decision to make the game all-ticket.
Latics’ average away attendance this season currently stands at 1,155; considerably higher than the final season in the Premier League and the average over the two Championship seasons and Latics manager Gary Caldwell is urging supporters to make the short journey along the M60 on Saturday.
He said: “The backing home and away has been exceptional this season and the supporters have consistently travelled in big numbers. That adds a huge belief to the players and let’s hope another big following is there on Saturday and that we can reward them with a positive performance and result.”
