- Full back recalled by Everton.
- Kenny featured seven times for Latics.
The club can confirm that full back Jonjoe Kenny has returned to Everton following a two month loan deal at the DW Stadium.
Speaking at Christopher Park, manager Gary Caldwell said:
"Jonjoe's loan was due to expire and we tried to extend it, but Everton called him back.
"He played for their Under 21s last night and played really well. It's disappointing for us because he's done really well, it was a good experience for him playing league football, but there's nothing we can do about it and we have to move on.
"I'm a little bit disappointed because he was doing well for us and we were doing well for him, but when it's a loan Everton are his parent club and they have the right to call him back."
The 18-year-old featured seven times for Latics in the opening eight Sky Bet League One fixtures, making six starts in the process.
Kenny joined Latics on loan ahead of the pre-season friendly against Partick Thistle, making his first appearance in the 1-1 draw.
