Show your support for DIAS ‘Burpeeathon’.

On Sunday 17th April 2016, 20 members of PT Studio, Wigan, will be burpee-ing throughout the day to raise money for Wigan Athletic Charity of the Season domestic violence support group DIAS.

The overall target for everyone taking part in the ‘Burpeeathon’ is 20,000 burpees, with each member aiming to complete 1000 each in the quickest time possible, in a bid to raise funds to support the vital work that DIAS do for anyone affected by domestic violence in Wigan.

A burpee is one of the toughest bodyweight exercises to perform and the fundraisers will expect this to be one of the hardest physical and mental challenges that they will face. See how to complete a burpee on the PT Studio's Facebook page.

Jeanette Bailey, DIAS Chief Officer, said: “All at DIAS Domestic Violence Centre are very grateful for the support of PT Studio and its members.

“The 20 fundraisers have set themselves an enormously difficult task in their efforts to assist DIAS, and have been training very hard every week since the start of the year to prepare; it isn’t a challenge that can be done without a huge amount of preparation.

“I would ask everyone to show their support for the fantastic fundraisers and PT Studio and donate what you can; all of the money raised will be used to directly support victims of domestic violence and abuse in Wigan Borough.  Thank you.”

You can show your support for the fundraisers and for DIAS through donating now on the event’s MyDonate page.
