BURTON ALBION AWAY SOLD OUT

3 April 2016

David Sharpe thanks supporters after full allocation for crunch match at Burton Albion sells out before general sale.

  • Latics face Burton Albion at Pirelli Stadium on April 19 in all-ticket clash.
  • Full allocation of 1,715 sells out to season card holders prior to going on general sale.
  • No tickets will be available to travelling supporters on the day.
  • “Thank you for your magnificent support again” – Latics chairman David Sharpe.

Wigan Athletic chairman David Sharpe has thanked the club’s supporters after entire allocation of 1,715 tickets for the trip to Burton Albion in Sky Bet League One on Tuesday 19 April has sold out.

“It’s another magnificent gesture of support from our fans,” said David Sharpe, “Gary and the players will have an extra spring in their step on the night when they walk out at the Pirelli to such a huge backing. Up the Tics.”

Having been on sale to 2015-16 season card holder for ten days, any remaining tickets were due to go on general sale tomorrow morning (Monday 4 April) but that will now no longer be the case as there are no tickets left and the club will not receive a further allocation.

Latics fans will be housed in the standing terracing behind the goal in the East Stand, as well as a seated allocation in the Main Stand.

Burton Albion have advised the club that the maximum away allocation permitted at the 6,912-capacity Pirelli Stadium has been made available and that there will be no tickets available on the day. Supporters without tickets are therefore being advised not to travel.
